Highlights from the last year
Here are a few of the best bits from the academic year 2014-2015!
As part of the 'Children should be seen and not heard' topic Key Stage One held a Victorian Day. All of the children and teacher dressed up in Victorian clothes and were given Victorian names. For lessons the childrne had to use chalkboards and sit in rows.
The children learned how to make Victoria sponge cake and chant their times tables.
Everyone had a great day!
On World Book Day everyone dressed up as their favourite character from a book. The children paired up with chidlren from other classes and shared some of their favourite stories.
The children in Year 2 and 3 had a visit from some real life explorers as part of their 'Our World is Amazing!' topic. The children learned all about survival in Antarctica and how to be an explorer.
Some children visited St Marys church for the Christmas Experience where they found out all about the story of the first Christmas.
During the Key Stage Two 'Disasters' topic the children leanred how to make exploding volcanoes!
